You can order the Dacia Duster starting from today and the deliveries will begin in April.

Dacia Duster is available in three version of equipment: Duster, Ambiance and Laureate. The price for the 4×4 Duster version will start from 12.300 euros.

For the top version – Laureate-  the price starts from 11.900 euros for the 4×2 model powered by an 1.6 liters gasoline engine and 105 HP, and 15.600 euros for the 110 HP diesel engine. Dacia Duster Laureate powered by an 85 HP diesel engine has a price starting from 13.050 euros (VAT included).

Dacia Duster Laureate with all the options available included has a final price of 17.600 euros.

Dacia Duster will be launched in this spring in Romania and the rest of European countries plus Turkey, Algeria and Morocco. In June, Duster will arrive in Ukraine, Israel, Jordan, Syria and Egypt, and in 2011 will be launched in  Brazil, Russia and Gulf countries under the Renault logo.

Although the French have not tested the car in the true sense of the word, the first impressions about Duster, are very positive. The first impression: Duster looks better in reality than in pictures. "Even if Duster is not very photogenic, the reality is different because the model is rather successful. It has a highly individual design that distinguishes it from the rest of the Dacia range. If you mask the Dacia logo it is almost impossible to identify Duster to a model of the Romanian car manufacturer, even if certain elements are borrowed from the rest of Dacia models" said the French, referring especially to the doors taken directly from the Sandero.

Obviously, the journalists from Caradisiac did not forget to emphasize the practicality of the Romanian model, claiming that the passenger space is generous and the trunk comes with a capacity that satisfies everyone, oscillating between 475 and 1600 liters. In terms of engine, the french journalist agree that the 1.6 liters and 110 HP gasoline engine or the 85 HP and 110 HP diesel engines are more than enough to power the lightest model in the segment.

Although they managed to see, to touch and appreciate closely the characteristics of Dacia Duster, the French journalists have not yet managed to find out the official prices, of first SUV created by Dacia. According to them, Duster will have a starting price in France around 14.000 euros, planning to enter the market in April

Stroe added that so far Dacia produced a series of over 1.000 Duster cars and that the first SUV of the Romanian manufacturer could achieve a 20% share of the total production this year.

About the price of the 4×4 model, Chauvet said only that it will be a good value, in the same report of the Logan. There is no information about the number of units that will be produced annually in Pitesti, Chauvet saying that there is currently a high flexibility of the assembly capacity, which will be adapted according to demand.

The future plans of the Romanian car manufacturer become more daring, Fabrice Cambolive, the commercial director of Dacia leaving to understand, last week, that are taken into account two new other models. Chauvet has not given too many details in this regard, but said that Dacia will maintain its philosophy of low cost.
